Smith Street, Collingwood is now playing host to a new Meatball & Wine Bar which is set to make a mark and send Melbourne foodies into a gastronomic frenzy. Following the success of CityBalls and RichBalls, the new SmithBalls completes the trilogy. SmithBalls continues the tradition of creating delightful mouthfuls of meaty flavour, with inspired condiments like the deliciously quirky chilli oil that is used with meats, seafood, vegetables and pasta. Then there’s the rub – a mixture of paprika, onion, garlic, pepper, sugar and salt and a few secret MB&WB ingredients that when mixed over meats, especially a rack of ribs, is to die for. Meanwhile the sliders are immense.
The pickled green tomatoes and Diavoletti smoked mozzarella with a chilli and olive centre are favourite Italian ingredients incorporated into dishes which have been taken to a whole new level of taste and texture. Alongside these impressive meatball offerings choose from a diverse selection of wine, and the unique Choc Hops Chocolate Stout, a dark beer with hints of chocolate and vanilla direct from Mildura Brewery.
